NAMI-AMICO,
Incorporated is a mutual self help group where family
members and friends of individuals with a severe brain
disorder (mental illness) meet together to gain information
and share common concerns.
NAMI-AMICO,
Incorporated is a group that:
- provides
support and assistance to each other
- encourages
the development of better services
- works
to dispel the myths of mental illness
- provides
educational programs
- fosters
research
- advocates
for positive changes within the Mental Health System
NAMI-AMICO'S
GOALS are to continue to provide decent
adequate housing, employment and appropriate services
for our loved ones and for all people with serious mental
illness.
